Who we are
Food for Brains is a concept developed at the Elsass Institute within the Elsass Foundation. The concept focuses on food that is favourable for the development of our brain. Scientific research shows that some ingredients are essential for our bodies, but highly imperative when it comes to development of the brain. The Food for Brains concept is all about sharing knowledge of different foods that consists of these ingredients as well as developing recipes for cooking dishes beneficial for the brain.
What we do
All brains need nourishment – and Food for Brains focuses on food that contains ingredients that are good for the brain’s development and for maintaining already achieved abilities. We aim to make cooking as simple as possible, so people with disabilities, such as cerebral palsy can use Food for Brains recipes including ingredients that are the best for optimizing the brain. Many of the recipes developed from our scientific research are found in the Food for Brains cookbook, which is available for purchase online.
